BYOK is on the roadmap: it will let you register your own provider API keys so token costs are billed directly by the provider at $0 markup. It isn't available yet — the section below describes the intended behavior once it ships.

When you bring your own API keys (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, etc.), token costs are billed directly by the provider. TarqaAI will charge only for the control plane — routing, RAG, governance, and observability — with no markup on inference tokens.
How BYOK will work

Add a provider keyPaste your OpenAI / Anthropic / Google key in the dashboard under Settings → Provider Keys.

Route requestsAll requests for that provider automatically use your key instead of a shared pool.

Zero markupYou pay the provider directly at their published rates. TarqaAI bills only the plan fee.

Security
Provider keys will be stored encrypted at rest (AES-256) and never logged in plaintext, transmitted only over TLS to the respective provider.
